Work under general direction to lead a large crew of skilled and/or semi-skilled employees and inmates on multiple shifts.

SALARY:
$2,770.00 Monthly

GRADE: 45
1. Four (4) years experience in laundry/dry cleaning of which two (2) years must be in lead capacity; and
2. Graduation from an accredited high school or possess GED.
3. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.)
1. Must have a valid Tennessee Driver's License or secure one as of employment date.
2. Must have experience driving a medium duty single axle truck, pickups, passenger vans, etc.
3. Must be in good physical condition.
4. Must be able to function in a prison environment.
5. Must pass NCIC background check.
6. Must be willing to work all shifts, weekends and be on call.
7. Will be required to pass a physical, TB Screening and Drug Test.
1. Leads and coordinates the activities of employee and inmate workers.
2. Develops job assignments for the workers assigned.
3. Performs inspections of the work assigned skilled and/or semi-skilled employees to assure conformance with instructions.
4. Participates as required in the work of a crew(s) engaged to accomplish work task or to demonstrate tasks to be performed.
5. Keep time and employees records, laundry utilization records, material and; supply usage reports.
6. Operates laundry equipment and trains employee and inmate workers in safe use of industrial washers and dryers.
7. Obtain and keep inventory of assigned equipment, supplies and laundry chemicals.
8. Perform related responsibilities as required or directed.
1. Knowledge of laundry chemicals and supplies, including automatic chemical injection systems.
2. Knowledge of laundry equipment, including light maintenance and automated controls.
3. Knowledge of maintenance and repair of equipment.
4. Ability to train and instruct other and evaluate work performance.
5. Knowledge of and experience in safe handling of chemicals, biohazard laundry.
