Works under direct supervision to perform complex and critical laboratory procedures. Responsible for performing and reporting results of routine and special laboratory tests, that may require a conclusion, evaluation or value judgment. Proficiency in applying the concepts, principles or technique for performing quality control and appropriate clerical functions in a laboratory environment.


SALARY:
$3,192.00 Monthly

1. Licensed as a Medical Technologist by the State of Tennessee; and
2. Certified (which usually requires three (3) years of undergraduate college education and one (1) year of training and education in an accredited school of Medical Technology) by American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), Department of Health Education and Welfare (HEW), National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel (NCA)
3. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED)
1. Must maintain Certification/License throughout the duration of employment.
1. Performs complex or critical laboratory tests, determination, examinations and procedures.
2. Maintains laboratory equipment and supplies.
3. Trains employees in lower classifications.
4. Performs immunologic tests on clinical specimens.
5. Performs other related duties as assigned.
