This position works under the general direction of the Community Services/Office of Early Childhood and Youth to provide referral and wraparound services to children in families that have been investigated by Child Protective Services but not substantiated for abuse and neglect and those who present to Protective Services but allegations do not rise to the level to warrant the filing of a petition. (Office will be located at Juvenile Court.)


SALARY:
$2,770.00 Monthly

1. Two (2) years’ experience working with abused and neglected populations; which includes facilitating services to families of domestic violence and child maltreatment; and
2. Graduation from an accredited College or University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling and Human Services; or
3. Equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
4. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED)
1. Facilitates and coordinates the process to identifying families with the co-occurrence of domestic violence and child maltreatment.
2. Provides those identified with immediate, confidential access to comprehensive intervention services; and promotes the safety and well-being of victims of abuse and their children.
3. Provides voluntary, confidential and free services to any parent in abuse or neglect cases, if it has been determined that the parent is a victim of domestic violence.
4. Provides assistance for crisis intervention and support; safety planning when appropriate; comprehensive community referrals and advocacy.
5. Presents information about the dynamics of domestic violence and stalking.
6. Contributes assistance in navigation of court proceedings.
7. Assists with the development and implementation of court training as requested.
8. Collects, compiles, and maintains appropriate documents and prepare reports.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned.

2. Ability to work with all levels of state and local officials.
3. Knowledge of budgeting and personnel management.
4. Ability to demonstrate understanding of models and theories regarding prevention and intervention of children exposed to violence, wraparound service delivery.
5. Ability to make verbal and written reports and public presentations.
6. Skills in creative problem solving; writing, public speaking and planning
